This area includes a provincially significant wetland.
The wetland has 276 species of plants and 177 species of wildlife.
An historically significant single lane Blackbridge Road Bridge
The area of concern is 95.6 hectares and is bounded by Guelph Ave, Black Bridge Road and the Railway tracks.
The subdivision is expected to generate about 7500 vehicle trips a day.
The size of the subdivision could be well over 1000 homes, including townhouses.
Mattamy Homes has refused to have 50m buffers and a 250-300 enhancement corridor to protect the Provincially Significant Forbes Wetland as specified by the Forbes Creek Sub Watershed Study and the Ministry of Natural Resources
